Do You Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

Yes I am guilty, My Dog Moe sleeps with me and does snuggle with me on the sofa..Not saying it is the right thing to let him do, sometimes I do wish I hadn't started letting him, especially during when he sheds..

Dogs on the bed

My "boys" are my family. They sleep in my bed and lie on my couch. I work 5 days a week and when I'm home I love them close to me

winston

My mini schnauzers can sleep anywhere they want to and they do! No restrictions at this house.

Yes Yes Yes

I try not to let my dogs on the furniture but when They look me in the eye, I just melt and give in. :-) Only one of my dogs can jump on my bed and yes that is where she sleeps 90% of the time.

Dogs on Couch and Bed

I like to rock my dog in the rocking chair so how can I tell him he can't be up. And we enjoy having our dog sleeping with us. We know where he is and that all is well with all of us.
—Guest Bobbi

They're family

My dogs always slept on my bed (at the foot). They were also allowed on the furniture, unless they were real heavy shedders and their hair would get on anyone who sat there. In that case, an appropriate size dog pillow was placed nearby. Their comfort was always a concern, as they were such a comfort to me. Of course, many times during the course of the night, the foot of the bed became vacant and I would feel gentle cuddling at my back, or pressure on top of the pillows behind my head (with my smaller ones of course). Sure there was alot of blanket/linen washing and vacuuming...but each and every one was worth it.

Dogs sleep in bed

Yes our dogs sleep with me and my wife and in my daughters' beds. They are part of our family as much as my children, and my three daughters all sleep in beds.

my boys share my furniture

They don't know they are not human. They like soft things too but they also love to snuggle and I love that feeling too. At times it keeps me warm.

Sharing your bed with your dog.

Dogs are pack animals. They sleep together. So there is no harm in sharing the bed with them. But, the owner must not allow the dog to claim the bed. His place should be defined by the owner.

Let sleeping dogs lie

no problem with sharing furniture with the family dog and I consider it bonding
—Guest Tina Kelath

Absolutely

Of course you should allow your dogs on the furniture. They love being with you and love comfy places to lay as well. I let my dogs sleep with me, at least for the time being.

my best friend

He is on his own bed with a big window to watch out of. My husband won't allow him on our bed. He gets on the couch and snuggles with me. I love him so much!

why not!!!let them snuggle. my three weigh in at 250 and when winter comes ...no heat in the bedroom.
—Guest wanda deutsch

No problem for me

I have two miniature dachshunds (I had a standard one before) and I allow them on the couch and on the bed with me. I keep them "flea free" and clean, and enjoy having them alongside me.

Doggies Like Their Own Beds...

My dog has about five beds throughout the house and uses every one of them, and loves them. Keeps hair to a minimum too! It teaches them to be respectful of the house and where the pecking order is as well. There are a myriad of wonderful dog beds out now where there just isn't a need for them to be on our furniture.
