About My Dog
Zena our beloved German Shepard (age 14) is missed by our family.
When Zena was a puppy, she was a sassy little thing. (Memories of her sassy little face makes me smile! She was so full of life. She was a sweet heart! At age 14 Zena was in so much pain, we took her to her vet, they put her to sleep in the back of our car. I talked to her, and let her know how much we love her. This was the hardest thing for me to do. We watched Zena leave this earth. My husband and I cried. But I know she is in a better place. No more pain. We will meet again.
What I'd Like to Say To (or About) My Dog
Zena we love you very much. I think of you every day. Sometimes I am sad, But I know you do not want us to be sad. You have been gone to Doggie Heaven for several months now. We were going to adopt another German Shepard, but it is way too soon. Instead we adopted a Shih Tzu. You would love her. We have a spot in the back yard dedicated to you. I go there and talk to you (even though you may not hear me or maybe you can). Thank you for being a part of our lives. Because of you, our lives became richer. You were our best friend and part of our family.
Until we meet again as I do not ever say goodbye as the word is so final. I always say see you later.
Lessons Learned
- Don’t take things too seriously. Mistakes and failures are good.
- Through love, honor and devotion, your life - even if it is short -lived, will forever impact those around you. Even after you pass away, people will remember you.
- Never be afraid of the unknown as fear is a handicap. Challenges are good.
- Love like there is no tomorrow. Live life to its fullest.
- Remember to eat, exercise, play, enjoy life and all it has to offer.
- Be kind to your neighbor.
- I learned to let go, even though I wanted you to stay. But you will forever live in my heart. I hate saying GOODBYE But I know I will someday see you again.
