In Memory Of
Snuffy (short for Countess Von Snuffles II)
About My Dog
Snuffy was my 14 year old Miniature Schnauzer. She was a real Mommy's dog. She loved her Daddy too,but she was always at my side, always looked for me when she came in from outside with Daddy. She always greeted me with a happy, sassy bark when I came home from somewhere.
She had been starting to deteriorate. She was steadily cutting back on eating. She had a couple of seizures. My head told me what was going on,but my heart was hoping otherwise. Finally I had to be the Mommy I was supposed to be and help her. I took her to the vet. She was in pain. It was time to let her go...so I did. She is at peace.
What I'd Like to Say To (or About) My Dog
Snuffy you were my little "Baby Bear",my little "Snuggle Bunny". I could see your love for me shining in your eyes. You were sassy, and cute. You were like having a living teddy bear. I love you so much, and there is a hole in my heart and life that will maybe someday mend, but I will never forget, nor stop loving you. You will always be with me,now, just as you were in life.
Thank you for your love and loyalty. I couldn't have asked for more or better. I am sorry I so selfishly made you wait for me to let you go. I know you were trying your best just for me.
I LOVE YOU ALWAYS MY LITTLE ONE! Love Mommy
Lessons Learned
- That the phrase Man's Best Friend is not just a saying with no basis in truth, because I just lost the best friend I ever had......ever.
- That such blind faith and love as I had from my little Snuffy is both gratifying and terrifying.
- That no matter what your heart keeps screaming at you,you have to listen to your head a little so that your friend does not suffer gratuitously.
