Chionita Taught Me So Much

Share Your Story: My Dog's Memorial Tribute

In Memory Of

Chionita, I will never forget the happiness you brought to my life.

About My Dog

Chionita was a 7 1/2 year old Shih-Tzu. She was my 1st dog since I moved out of my parents house. I had her since she was 8 weeks old. She died on 8-14-2010. She got attacked by another big dog and he broke her paw. The paw had multiple brakes and needed surgery. I could not afford the surgery, I am now unemployed with 3 small kids and only 1 income (my Husbands) we are on a tight budget just to get by month to month. My other option was to amputate her leg, I know in my heart u would not have been happy. U like to run and pee with your 2 back legs up in the sky and you like to move your front paws like your praying.

What I'd Like to Say To (or About) My Dog

Chionita, I am so sorry that I could not afford to take care of your injury. I feel like i failed you. U did your part as a companion to me and I did not do my part. I should be able to afford to take care of you and none of this was your fault. The guilt will forever stay in my heart. Euthanizing you was the only option I had to keep you from all your pain you were going through. I couldn't see you suffering. I hope I gave you 7 1/2 years of happiness, I know you had allot more life in you. I just wish the circumstances were different. I think about you all the time. U are missed soooooo much. I love you, and I always will. I hope you are in a much better place and no longer in pain. U are my Angel.

Lessons Learned

  • Chionita, U have taught me so much. You were a feisty one. Thank you for being the loyal loving dog that you were. U brought me so much happiness and joy. You were my 1st dog. I will never forget you.
