When, Where and How I Got My Yorkshire Terrier

Roscoe came to me through my niece, who does faster care for small dogs. Roscoe had been placed several times but was returned each time, because of people issues, not his fault. One person said he hicked his leg on her drapes, another that he "pooed" on the deck. He is smart enough to have trained my hubby to slow down when they ride in the car (He learned how to open the window and stand on the button so Dave can't close it). He also knows that persistence will win him his way, we will give up trying to go without him and will eventually let him go to, IF he tries long enough. He guards us at all times.

I'd Describe My Dog As…

Fun, quirky, sweet and brave. He has no idea that he is small. He plays with all the other dogs as rough as they want, and he chases after any dog who comes into his yard! The only thing he is afraid of is the vacuum, and he will do his best to protect me from anything. After he gets home for the groomers, he struts around like a king, he knows he is looking good.

Advice

  • go with your Yorkie's natural tendencies, they will get plenty of exercize just following you around and they hate to be alone for long.
