When, Where and How I Got a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
From a breeder in May of 2008 after researching the breed. Also went to local dog show to talk to breeders and look at dog first hand. Dylan was about 10 weeks old when we brought him home.
I'd Describe My Dog As…
Dylan was a joy from the moment he brought him home. He slept through the night right away. He practically housebroke himself. It only took a few months. He had very few accidents, and the ones he had were because we missed his cues. Dylan is very affectionate. I call him "Velcro" since he always sticks with me when I’m home. He loves going to the dog park to run. He's not interested in fetching, but he loves to chase the dog that's chasing the ball.
Advice
Since Dylan is so friendly, we have to control him when anyone comes to the house. He wants to greet everyone! He will jump up and that can scare people who are not used to dogs.
