When, Where and How I Got My Shih Tzu

Panda joined my family when she was six weeks old. We bought her from a breeder, but I would definitely suggest adopting, there are a lot of homeless Shih Tzus out there that deserve a good home, and they are way to sweet a breed to be stuck in a cage!

I'd Describe My Dog As…

Panda is incredibly sweet and lovable. She loves a warm lap to sit in, car rides, walks, and people! She is very tolerant of kids, my now 1 1/2 year old son used to crawl up behind her, grab her by her tail and pull her across the carpet! She never once snapped at him, and with a little guidance he quickly learned how to be "gentle" w/her. She is also very quite, which I love. I once took her on a plain ride with me, I had her in a carry on and no one even knew I had a dog with me. I always recommend this breed to anyone considering a small breed dog.

Advice

  • Definitely get a Shih Tzu! Just keep there fur short, and be wary of over breeding! Always try to adopt first!
