When, Where and How I Got My Pug

Gifted by my mother to my son. I truly believe he is god's gift to us, and is the second child in the family. He was gifted for one of India's biggest festivals, Diwali which is the festival of lights. He has truly brought joy and a lot of light into our house.

I'd Describe My Dog As…

Easy going, playful and immensely loving. And... very fond of eating. You could wake him up any time of the day or night, and he is ready to play. There are no cordoned off areas for him. He has access to every place in the house. His greatest pleasure is to be with us when we are all at home together. The biggest problem I face with him are occasional reverse breathing and his tendency to run out of the house, especially when he sees another dog. He is a little tyke and he loves to challenge all manner of older dogs.

Advice

  • Clean the folds that form around their face. Tick collars help and this is one breed that wants to be with you all the time. Give them lots of love and time. Don't overfeed them as they tend to be overweight, something which can harm them immensely.
