When, Where and How I Got My Poodle:
I've always wanted a small house dog. I live alone & really wanted companionship & a pet to love. I have a small home & a small yard but knew from my research that a Toy Poolde can live happily in a small space.I found an ad in our local paper last May "Toy Poodles For Sale".I went that very day to look at the pups. There were 3 females. One showed a great deal of interest & kept jumping up as if to say "Pick Me!" so I picked her up to get a better look & she gave me a big kiss. That sealed the deal, I knew it was meant to be. Tootsie Roll was the dog for me. I brought her home with me that very day, May 4th 2009.
I'd Describe My Dog As…
Tootsie Roll is a very smart, easy going, sweet, lovable little pooch. She is a Toy Poodle and is very small but she has a huge appetite for life as well as for her food. She is very playful. No matter how down I am Tootsie always cheers me up with her playful antics. No one could be sad or lonely with Tootsie Roll around. She is my companion and best friend. She knows how to do many tricks and loves to learn new ones. Also, Tootsie loves to travel and going for walks, long or short. I took her on vacation with me last October to Myrtle Beach. She loved the water and had as much fun if not more than I did on the trip. Tootsie also loves the snow and running and playing outside no matter what the weather. She needs her exercise every day, a short walk satisfies her need for exercise. She is the perfect dog for someone like me who has health problems. There are days when a short walk is all that I can handle and that is A-Okay with my best buddy. Tootsie Roll loves Life. She loves everyone she meets and loves to play with other dogs. I have made a couple of new friends that have small dogs. We set up play dates for our dogs, which also gets me out of the house. Tootsie Roll is the perfect housemate...she is so easy to please and happy go lucky each and every day. She is a true pleasure to share my home with and a wonderful little bundle of love and joy.
Advice
- Toy Poodles are very loving & kind.
- Toy Poodles need exercise every day, a short walk will keep them happy & healthy.
- Poodles become bored easily so having a variety of toys is a neccesity.
- Toy Poodles are very easy to house train & are extremely smart!
- Poodles can be a little stubborn however their desire to please their loved ones always overrides their urge to have their own way.
- Toy Poodles do not like to be alone especially for long periods of time.
- Toy Poodles are very alert & attentive.
- Toy Poodles are sweet natured with a Happy Go Lucky disposition.
