When, Where and How I Got My Mixed-Breed Dog
Our 1st mutt decided everyone was a friend. He was a Collie/Golden Retriever mix and never barked.
My son decided another dog was needed, especially when he found a litter was on the way to the shelter and had gotten close to one. I came home and here was this little white dog, 6 wks old. She was adorable. So Karma came home to us. She has to coloring of a Yellow Lab and the face of a Jack Russell. She loved kids. I am so lucky!
I'd Describe My Dog As…
Over the last 17 years we have had 3 dogs. 2 are left. Bishop was just laid to rest in May.
That had to be said because now with Karma and Largo, Karma's Diva was really coming out! She has always been a diva because she is sooo smart.
The first day we had her put her in the bathroom, a big bathroom, she totally destroyed to floor! The we built a pen in the garage for, mind a puppy...4' high plenty of room to move in and left kitchen open so she felt part of house...she was out of it when I got home....House trained in 3 wks. Put a bell up no problem, except, had to take to bell down after 2 months, I promise it got to the point she would look at Bishop, wag her tail, Bishop would look at us, she'd get up prance to door while looking at Bishop, tail wagging, ring the bell. We would get let them out. They come right back, right back in. Lay down, and she would wait all of 10 mins or so and do it all over again!
Karma loves to chase a ball! 24/7 if we let her (Jack Russell) Then if we wouldn't throw she taught herself how to throw it. Friends were amazed.
Karma has had several tumors around age 5 the worse was on the top of her head and had to be removed because it was close to her eye.
Also, arthritis in the hips is a problem. You have to remember she also has 50% Lab in her.
She now has Cushings Disease, which is why I think she is a little more aggressive now.

- Lots of Love
- Advise, a dog like Karma needs to play and run a lot.
- Remember she has Jack Russell in her.
- The Lab makes so loveable.
- She loves kids. But with age, be careful if she gets ill.
- Training is a must otherwise she will bored.
- Also, she would loved to have been the only dog. A Diva she is.
