When, Where and How I Got My Miniature Pinscher
Unfortunately, I bought from a pet store. It was about 2 months old. The dog had a genetic problem which resulted in her death at five years of age. Always buy from a breeder and see both parents or photos of the sire.
I'd Describe My Dog As…
Loving, loyal, but not very easy to train to commands. Needed lots of room to run and lots of exercise. These dogs like to be a pack leader even with other large dogs. They are wonderful dogs if they get LOTS of exercise. Just because they are small, they do not make good apartment dogs.
Advice
- These are not apartment dogs unless you are a committed owner who will make sure the dog gets to RUN off leash at least an hour a day. Likes other dogs. Attend dog training classes. A dog park would be good to have nearby to go to everyday if you have one of these dogs, or a large fenced yard with another dog to play with.
