When, Where and How I Got My Dalmatian
Disney was my daughter's, she got her when she was 9 weeks old.
She had pups when she was three. I claimed Tara because she was born deaf, she has been a lovely addition to our family. My daughter kept Jewel as he was the last dog in the litter and for company for Disney. When Jewel was 4 yrs old he developed diabetes which meant he had to be injected twice daily. He had also developed cateracts in both eyes making him blind. When my daughter's marriage broke up and she went to live in an apartment which dogs where not allowed, Disney and Jewel came to live with me.
I'd Describe My Dog As…
I would describe my three Dalmations as loving, very funny and sociable.
Dalmations love company. They were easy to house train, it only took a few times out in the garden before they latched on to tapping the door to be out. They can suffer with upset stomach but once you have found what agrees and what disagrees with them it is fine.
Advice
- If you are thinking of buying a Dalmation - first thing is they need company are you going to be with them all day?
- They can be boisterous where small children are and could knock them over as they are very playful when they are pups
- They are like all animals they need treating right
- Shown love and understanding and the rewards are tenfold!!!!!
