When, Where and How I Got My Dachshund
We adopted her when she was about 5 years old, we found her at a Doxie rescue group.
I'd Describe My Dog As…
She has a wonderful personality, everyone she meets falls in love with her, especially children. She's a mini doxie, playful, fun, very affectionate. She had some medical problems, mammary gland cancer, but we got her cleaned up and she's better than ever. She loves to wrap herself up in her "Blankie" and peeks her nose out from under it! She takes her "Blankie" with her everywhere.
Advice
- Be attentive to their needs.
- Check them over from time to time, check coat, eyes, ears, etc.
- Great companion, better with kids from 7 yrs +
- Needs exercise daily or they can turn into "little sausages."
