When, Where and How I Got My Boxer

We were wanting a Mastiff but we have a small house. My son's friend's Boxer had a litter and my son brought Rambo home. It was love at first sight.

Our dog was adopted for a fee of $150. Its litter mates that remained were poisoned by neighbors. One of the litter that was sold, I am told, acts just like my dog.

I'd Describe My Dog As…

In the beginning, overwhelming but now contented. Rambo was quick to go outside to do his business. Rambo soon developed a terrible underbite and looks very comical. For the first two years he threw up if he drank water and food together. Just recently he seems to know not to do this. He developed a sty-like condition in the corner of his eye and the vet had to remove it surgically.

Rambo sheds worse than any longhired dog I know. He likes to pretend he is sneaking to do what he knows he is not allowed to do........I ADORE MY BOXER...................

Advice

  • Rambo loves everyone and his stubby tail is a sure giveaway. He has huge paws and usually steps on everyone. Rambo is very sensitive and has his feelings hurt. Wants to please and must be crated to calm him, please crate train your boxer. After almost three years in a crate when we leave, we let him have liberty while we were gone and he was perfect.
