When, Where and How I Got My Bichon Frise

Bought him from a breeder not far from where we live. He was a puppy. Someone else had bought him and then returned him for reasons we didn't know. One of the reasons he wasn't "show" material was that his teeth were crooked, but we didn't care. We just wanted a good pet. We are so glad the other people took him back. We wouldn't give him up for anything.

I'd Describe My Dog As…

He is a very fun-loving, intelligent, loving little dog. We have other dogs, some of which have trouble getting up. He always goes and "checks" on them and helps get them up. Wants to please us.

He was housebroken when we got him and since the other people hadn't had him long he must have been very easy to train.

He has no health problems that we know of.

Advice

I would advise people with children to consider buying a Bichon from a reputable breeder. We have an older Bichon that we bought on the internet after we had to have our first dog(Bichon) Josie put down because of a tumor. She was about 17 years old. The one we got off of the internet does not have the personality or friendliness that Cooper has.
