When, Where and How I Got My American Cocker Spaniel
In 1995, my partner and I "bought" her at what I know now is a puppy mill. Back then I wasn't aware that that what was going on. She was in a puppy corral in the living room of this "home" with her siblings. She stayed in the back all by herself. She was the one looking so cute - black with brown and a bit of white on her chest, what some call parti colors. I payed $400 - she was a gift for my partner. She soon became the best part of our "family". Mikey passed away in 2003 with Jasmine by his side. My special little girl passed away last year just before Christmas. I know she is happy that she is back with her daddy.
I'd Describe My Dog As…
As my loving daughter. Knowing when I need someone to curl up next to me. Very loyal, waiting at the door when I get home from work. Always playing with her first toy. Protective of me. She might be small, but she would let people know to be good. She loved her haircuts - she would prance around to show off her new cut. Jasmine is greatly missed.
