When, Where and How I Got My Cairn Terrier
We bought him from a breeder in New Orleans where we lived at the time. He was 6 months old and had been paper trained. He was easily trained to a leash and going outside to do his business. We found him from an ad in the paper that referred to him as the wizard of Oz dog - we knew immediately what breed he was from having had another Cairn previously.
I'd Describe My Dog As…
A great little dog. He saw me thru some tough personal times--- a move and a divorce. He had to adapt to different living situations because of that and he adapted well in every situation, including having other people care for him at times. I considered him my one mainstay and my loyal friend. He had the sweetest disposition and he always let me know that he loved me and would be there for me. He wasn't jealous of other people around and he adapted well to other dogs in the family.
Advice
- I can't advise on these dogs with children around because I did not have any. I will say that I would have another one with no hesitation.
