My Dog's Diagnosis

The vet has not been able to find a definitive cause. So far blood work and an MRI have shown no abnormalities.

About My Dog's Seizures

Pretty much as described by most posters, falls over, drooling, spastic leg moving, lasts about 2 minutes. Her full recovery time to normal is down to 10 minutes. She doesn't exhibit any erratic behavior before they start. She has had them while sleeping or after coming in from playing, even in the middle of being out for a walk. They come in clusters about every 3 to 5 months and she has them for about 2 or 3 days at intervals of about 4 to 8 hours. In between she has no problems and is a happy active husky.

My Dog's Diagnosis and Treatment

Vet has been reluctant to use drugs because of the time between episodes. We are kinda at a loss for what to do now. Blood work all came back normal. MRI did not show anything that looked odd. She eats a quality high protien diet that is recommended for her breed. No treats or anything that could contribute to food allergies. No parasites fungus or anything. Any plants that could have caused it have been removed.

Advice

  • I'm looking for advice. If anyone has had this type of problem with their Husky I'd like to know.
