About My Adopted Dog
Tintin is a mixed-breed with a lot of Thai Ridgeback Dog in her — gorgeous, agile, FAST and loving.
Vera is a very well-bred Dachshund, normal size but small — gorgeous, quick, and loving.
Both dogs are great examples of how adoption can benefit both dog and (new) owner.
My Dog's Adoption Story
Tintin had been booted out of her 'home' in Chaing Mai when she was no longer a puppy (=toy), and had to fend for herself for the year before she found me. We were visiting a Swedish friend who had moved there.
Vera turned out to have a faulty bite, so her breeders put her up for adoption.
Advice
- Absolutely, DO IT! Dogs appreciate knowing they are wanted. They will repay you a thousand-fold. I would not hesitate to do this again and again.
