My girlfriend rescued him, but when she moved, she could no longer keep him and asked me if I would take him. Of course, I said, "Yes!"
About My Adopted Dog
Kamen is a sweet, friendly, loving, pure-bred German Shepard. He is very affectionate and loves to play with his Kong. He gets along beautifully with my other large dogs (all rescues).
My Dog's Adoption Story
My girlfriend originally "rescued" Kamen from an animal shelter. There was a breeder in her area that was doing some illegal activities, and all of his dogs were seized and taken to the shelter. Many of them had not been properly cared for or fed on a regular basis.
When she moved to a new home, she could no longer keep Kamen, and asked if I would take him.
I am working on my Master's degree online, and when I study at the computer, Kamen lays on the couch and watches me. I call him my "study-buddy".
Advice
Always consider adopting a dog from the shelter. I have always had great dogs from the shelter. And, they are a GREAT source of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!
