 A Survivor's Story

I am as sweet as I look...I love making people happy!!!

 A Survivor's Story

I love my pink!!!!

She is queen of the house. At our apartment she is also known as "the miracle dog" because last year she was hit (not run over, thank G-d) by an SUV, and after three weeks at the vet, survived and now she is good as new. But our vet did not think she was going to make it. But I would not let her go.

What I Did:

She is now house broken (she never was before) She doesn't run away any more. She sleeps a lot now. She snuggles up to me and presses into my body. She follows me into the bathroom every morning. Actually, she follows me everywhere Sometimes I think I love her too much...she is my whole life. She doesn't chew or pee in the house. She does, however, bark at me when I eat and she doesn't get any. But I don't mind. She even eats asparagus! She loves scrambled eggs, shrimp, beans and english muffins. She has a Chanel Sweater with brass buttons and a red rain coat. But she doesn't like to get her feet wet

How I Did It:

Since I had to live in Assisted Living cuz of a broken hip, I took her with me to say hello to the old people living there and she always brought a smile. When my father had Alzheimer's, she made all the Alzheimer's patients come alive and reach for her...some people spoke for the first time in years, and my dad petted her and remembered her name.

Lessons Learned:

I learned that this little dog represented life and helped bring hope and love - just this 6 pound bundle of joy and fur and love. Woke out of the somnambulist trance-that this little life reinforced their concept of life
