Guide Review - Review of the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville
The "Loews Loves Pets" program welcomes VIPs (Very Important Pets) to their hotels, giving them the full guest treatment. Upon arrival, there were supplies and goodies waiting for my dog - 2 bowls and a place mat, a small bag of dog food, 2 fancy cookies, 2 high quality jerky strips, waste bags, a sign for door to indicate if the pet is in or out, and a personal note to my dog. Plus, the room had some space to play a few rounds of mini-fetch or a game of tug-o-war (of which we did plenty). No one said my dog could not go on the furniture, so we both enjoyed a good night's sleep on the cushy bed. If you want an actual dog bed, however, they are available on loan from the concierge - just a phone call away.
After my continental breakfast, my dog and I headed a half mile down the street to the dog park at the famous Centennial Park. There were plenty of dogs to meet, but also extra space to play some serious one-on-one fetch. After a few hours of energy-burning fun, we headed back to the hotel for some rest. Room service that night included a special chef-created, hand-prepared, healthy meal for my dog - the Stars and Stripes dish. Needless to say, she loved it. My dinner was wonderful, too!
My dog and I really enjoyed our stay at the Loews hotel in Nashville - we hope to go back one day! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy an upscale hotel stay without leaving the dog behind.
