Guide Review - Review of the FURminator deShedding Tool
When I finally decided to give the FURminator a try, I was pleased with the results. I started using it on my dog every few days and quickly noticed results. I was surprised at the amount of hair removed in a short period of time - even more than I have seen with the use of shedding blades over the years. Now, I no longer get a handful of hair when I pet my dog. Plus, I find that the amount of hair buildup on floors, furniture and dog beds is noticeably reduced. Best of all, my dog seemed to enjoy being combed with the FURminator.
I feel it is important to mention that my dog has a history of allergies and somewhat sensitive skin. After about 5 minutes of use, I noticed that her skin has become slightly red. I realized that I was putting too much pressure on my dog with the FURminator. Gentle combing is all that is needed for this tool to be effective. It should also be noted that this tool is not recommended for dogs with single coats and/or continuously growing hair, such as Poodles, Shih Tzus and breeds with similar coats.
The FURminator deShedding tool was developed by professional groomer Angie Porter. The expert craftsmanship is clear - this is an excellent grooming tool. Overall, I enjoyed using the FURminator deShedding tool and think it will come in handy over time. I also think this tool is worth the cost, especially if you can get a good deal on it.
