Tales of Rescued Dogs

I am the sole proprietor of St. Marys Area Pet Services and certified as a Veterinary Assistant. I have been adopting shelter pets for a number of years. The attached photos show my first rescue, Abbey, a collie mix, and three more rescues: Pierre, a miniature apricot poodle, Duke, a German Shorthair Pointer, and Charlie (Earl), a bi-ccolored beagle. All share our home. It is so much fun to see them all playing together.

After owning multiple dogs, I would never consider having only one pet. I will always open my heart and home to shelter dogs. Every one that has entered our family has touched us in a deep and unique way.

Pierre was neglected and crated nearly 24 hours a day. He was not being groomed and had yeast infections in his ears. He needed to be completely shaved before we could even see him.
