I was looking for a dog and some seemed to maybe be a match but then I saw an urgent alert for this sweet looking dog. The ad said that he was less than a week from being put down because there was no room in the shelter. I emailed the rescue lifeline immediately.
In just a few days they drove down to tennessee and brought him back to wisconsin. All they knew about him was that he was a stray and that he was so matted he looked like a sheep. It ends up that he is trained and laidback and instantly loyal to "his people". I have never had a problem with him.
Two days after I got him, he scared away a burglar
gus has been the biggest blessing in my life and we both knew immediately that we were meant to be in each other's life.
He thinks he is a cat or a speed bump; he is a cuddler, and he is the biggest neat freak I know (he won't step in mud). He is a fraidy-cat(linoleum, loud noises and shouting) but holds his own when confronted with possible danger to either himself or me. I loved him from the moment he walked over to me and laid his head in my lap.
