My dog and I have a strange little routine. When she's excited she makes a quick huffing sound. When I huff back at her, it signals the start of our routine: she freezes -- doesn't even breathe -- and makes eye contact. The goal of our game is to maintain eye contact, not breathe, and be as still as possible. Whoever messes up on those prerequisites "loses." When either one of us "lose" my dog becomes hysterically happy, barking and bouncing around. Sometimes I deliberately lose by bending my knees a centimeter just to see her go crazy.
