Gifts for Dogs

From Krista Mifflin, About.com Guide

Even the dogs like to get gifts from time to time - especially the holiday season. Okay, so it's really us humans who like to give gifts. But dogs do like getting them, especially cool things like these!

1. Gift Shopping For a Good Cause

Fund some of your favorite charities while scratching names off your holiday gift list this season. It's not just dog-related apparel found at some of these places, so fear not, you should be able to find something for the non-dog person in your life as well.

2. Regular Dog Beds and Sofas

When it gets cold out, my dogs seem to lay claim to the cushy furniture even more than usual, so with that in mind, I went shopping and un-earthed some of the better dog beds out there. For regular dog beds, these are my favorite, and even better, most of them under $40.00 in price!

3. Therapeutic Dog Beds

If you're looking for something that has more functionality to it for your older, or arthritic dog, I found these heated, therapeutic dog beds, too. A warm surface can make a big difference to a sore dog, especially during damp and cold weather. They may be a bit more, or even a lot more pricey, but your dog will thank you for it.

4. Bully Sticks

This is definitely something your dog can sink his teeth into! Bully sticks are all natural beef sticks made from bull penises. Yes, you really did read that right. They are completely digestible and great for satisfying a dog's urge to chew.

5. Really Fancy Beds and Sofas

Are you looking for something completely out of the ordinary? Have I got something for you! These dog beds are the finest I've seen. From fancy wrought iron, to plush sofas in designer fabrics, and tasseled divans fit for a queen. Get ready to give your wallet a work-out!
