Shadow

Shadow is the joy of my life. He is a Lab-mix (we think Lab and Shepard) and I adopted him when he was about a year and a half old. His original family surrendered him, and even though we are not quite sure why, we think it was because of why most Labs are sadly given up--They are adorable little puppies and grow to be big and clumsy( but to me, his clumsiness is what makes him so entertaining!!) The past 2 years that we've been together have been filled with so much love, joy and fun.

He weighed 36 pounds when we got him. He now weighs 70 pounds, thanks to good food, love and lots of treats! We think Shadow believes he is a tiny lap dog, he loves to lay on top of me and his daddy and literally sit on our laps! He is one of the smartest dogs I have ever met--when I teach him a new trick he has it perfected after about 3 tries! He is still afraid of most things, and sadly I think those fears will always be with him, but I am pretty sure he knows he has found his forever home and that I love him very much!
