Getting a Dog

Before you bring your new dog home, you'll need to have a few basic dog supplies ready to make the move easier. These are the main things you will need:

• Food and water bowls
• Crate for training and travel
• A 4 or 6-foot leash
• Adjustable buckle collar of an appropriate size
• Food

While this list is enough to get you started and through the first couple of days, you're going to find that your dog will also need toys, treats, and you will need books to help you train your new dog.
