He is just the sweetest boy in the world (in my eyes). When he's inside we can put a plate of steak or chicken or liver or whatever on the floor and he will not touch it or approach it unless I tell him he can have it. I have never NOT EVER swatted him once for ANYTHING. not for training or misbehavior or anything.

He's such a smart dog (shepard mix) and I would redirect his attentions elsewhere and I never needed to do so twice. He never had any accidents inside the house. He always made sure I heard him when he had to potty.

We go on vacation....Lobo goes. I can't even be away from him for a day without getting upset and he's so attached to me that he won't eat until I come home again, so there's no point in leaving him behind. When I was in the hospital he refused to eat until I came home and then wouldn't eat unless his bowl was next to where I was laying so he could make sure I didn't leave again.

How did you acquire your dog?

I got my Lobo from the local animal shelter after someone returned him for 'chewing on their kitchen linoleum'.

Why did you choose him/her, if you choose him?

I'm not sure really. I was looking for a smaller dog and making out the paperwork in case something came in which I wanted and I saw this little 3 month old pup with soulful brown eyes and long eye lashes--crying and i was lost.

Where is the best place to find a mixed breed dog?

Yeah, best place is probably at the animal shelter.

Why would you recommend a mixed breed dog?

Personally, I have found that my mixed breed boy isn't as snooty as the purebreds I've been around. That's not to say ALL purebreds are snooty, but the ones i have been into contact with have been. They tend not to have alot of the defects of the purebred dogs as well; meaning hip displasia and things of that nature. Purebred dogs as well as mixed breed dogs are beautiful....its whats on the inside that counts isn't it?

What is special about your dog?

What isn't special about my dog? He's such a loving baby and I feel so blessed to have him. He never EVER takes after another animal. They are all considered his 'friends and family' to him. he shares his dinner with the indoor cats and his waterdish too. When he's outside he takes care of our elderly purebred beagle who can't see very well. He leads her to the food and water and lets her have first dibs on whatever is in it. She runs around and when she's in danger of hitting on the fence...he puts himself between her and the fence and she just bumps into his furry side instead.
