She's supposedly part chow, but the only part of her that looks like that is her curled up tail. Mostly she looks like a smallish lab. Not all that small, though, she weighed around 48 lbs. at the vet last Monday! She's about 7 or 8 months old, and the vet suspects she was pregnant when she got spayed (because of the size of the incision).

She's just such a sweetheart! I'm not a dog person, I really only got her because my kids just love dogs so much and I felt they were finally old enough to really be able to help care for one, but she's won my heart with her sweetness.

How did you acquire your dog?

I got her from the pound.

Why did you choose him/her, if you choose her?

Even though most of the other dogs were barking like crazy as we went past, she wasn't barking or jumping. And she came to the front of the cage to sniff our fingers.

Where is the best place to find a mixed breed dog?

Probably from a dog adoption group

Why would you recommend a mixed breed dog?

From what I've heard, they tend to have fewer health and disposition problems than full-breed dogs

What is special about your dog?

She's a real sweetie! She's calm but happy and energetic. She loves walks but is easy enough for my 6 year old to hold the leash (no he doesn't go by himself!).
