Adorable Adoptable
This week's pets are from Best Friends Pet Adoption.

Sasha
Sasha
Who is this beautiful masked bandit?

SASHA is a happy, playful 7-month-old spayed female. She is the offspring of an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) and a white Boxer. The pretty result is a mostly white dog with flecks of brindle markings. Sasha has a saddle spot on her back and her head is saddle with the black mask. She sports the cutest Boxer "stub" for a tail that wags non-stop!

Sasha adores to play with the other dogs in her foster home. She gains confidence from having another canine companion in the home. We don't recommend Sasha go to a home with cats or very young children. The "Cattle Dog" in Sasha is exhibited in her herding tendencies. The "Boxer" is exhibited in the way she plays using her front paws in a cat-like manner. Sasha is curious, alert and protective of her land. She can be shy and nervous initially but warms up quickly.

Exercise -- either playing with another dog or going for walks -- is paramount because she can become bored. Speaking of walks, Sasha is fine on a leash. She is crate-trained and housebroken. As all Best Friend rescues, Sasha is up-to-date on her vaccinations and on heart-worm prevention. She should only weigh 25-30 lbs. when full-grown.

If you are looking for a compact, fun girl that will give your dog plenty of exercise, Sasha is for you.

Romeo
Romeo
ROMEO is a handsome 7-month-old neutered male. His parents were an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) and a white Boxer. The result is a mostly white dog with flecks of brindle. He has saddle, dark brown and black on his face and ears. He also has the cute Boxer "stub" for a tail. His short-haired coat needs little care and is very easy to groom.

Romeo loves to play with other dogs and is not a dominant male. We do think he would be happiest in a home with another canine friend. He's currently in a home with two children ages 7 and 12 and a cat. He is fine with the kids, although we would recommend he not be in a home with very young children. Even the cat is keeping Romeo in line -- he ignores her! Romeo is a great size and should weigh no more than 30-35 lbs. when full grown. Sasha, above, is Romeo's sister.
