Jake was the best dog I could of ever hoped for. I got him when I was 3, we went to a farm that had a couple of dog's and we were going to pick one out. Every one in my family wanted this energetic black puppy. I though, saw in the corner, a little shy white puppy. I cried and yelled and they finally picked him. He was at first the family dog. But quickly he was mine. He would follow me every where, and I would spoil him so much. When Jake was 8 though, he got very sick. No vet knew what the matter was. My parents were going to put him to sleep, but I wouldnt let them. Good thing, Jake got better, but not for long. He then battled the sickness for 3 years. Jake was my best friend. I talked to him every moment I had a chance, and he would look interested. Every day for the last 12 years, Jake was my priority. Every time I left the house I would say good bye and check his water and food bowel. Just yesterday though (5-19-03) my mom took him to be put to sleep. I went too. I will never forget the moment he died. I will never forget burying him and seeing his body for the last time. I feel as if someone pulled my heart out and someone else is kicking me. It's only been a day, but I dont think I will ever get over it. I still check his water bowel, and call for him to let him out. Soon, I will stop. BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU JAKE. STAY STRONG, AND I WILL SEE YOU WHEN I DIE, IN HEAVEN. I'LL MISS YOU SO MUCH. |
