You have been gone now for almost 6 months now and
I can still remmember you as if
it were the day I got you.
I knew from day one you were special and I remember how everyone always said I spoiled you. They were right.. I treated you like the queen you were named after- Cleopetra. I gave you everything and in return you gave me seven years of love and companionship. You were the first dog that was just mine, as a child we always had family pets but you were my only "child". After being diagnosed with cancer in September of 2001, you fought for almost ten months. You lived life to the fullest those ten months and when things changed you knew it was time. I knew the day I laid you to rest that it was time. I held you in my arms until your last breath. That was the hardest day of my life. I never thought I could get another dog because I knew I could never replace you. You were spunky, playful, gentle, loving - I could not have ask for a better dog. I did get another Sharpei about a month ago. Samson is his name and he reminds me so much of you. He can not replace you but he does fill some of the big part of my life that you were part of. You will always be remembered in my heart and always loved. ~ Gary |
