Adenovirus
Hepatitis
A highly infectious viral disease unrelated to human hepatitus. Spread among all canids and can affect the liver and kidneys.
Symptoms
fever
rhinitis (runny nose)
coughing
jaundice
distended stomach
bleeding from orifices
diarrhea
abdominal pain
pale mucous membranes
convulsions in young puppies
Potentially Fatal

Possible Causes
Exposure to infected animals, or contaminated feces or toys. Inhalation of mosquitos or fleas carrying the virus can also be a cause.
