Answer: "My dog has a very strange habit before she eats.
First of all, she must wait until everyone is home before she eats. It doesn't matter if that isn't until 10:00 at night - she will not even eat her breakfast that was given to her at 6:00 in the morning. When I first moved out of my parents' house, she didn't eat for a week! Once everyone is home, she circles our kitchen table twice, then the island once, the kitchen table once more, before she goes at eats her food. She does it every single day, and we still laugh over it, and we have lived in this house for three and a half years.

Also, she is not satisfied with a simple belly rub. She has to jump up in my dad's recliner (keep in mind that she is a 65-pound collie cross), flip herself back against my dad, and get a belly rub while sitting upright in the recliner. She whines and cries and carries on, begging my dad to be let up in the chair for a scratch about twenty times a day. I often hear my dad crying "No more!" and hear my dog carrying on in the background when I phone home!"

"My 8 month old German Shepherd, Shiva, thinks she's a cat. She will sit on the top of the cushions on the couch. She's learned to do this by watching our cats sleep up on them.You can imagine what it looks like seeing a 65 pound dog do this! But she looks so cute!"
