About Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever :
Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever is a rickettsial disease that is transmitted through the bite of an infected tick. Ticks are the most common carriers, and nearly all the cases of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever are recorded during tick season (April through September for many areas).
Potentially fatal complications, including inflammation of the heart muscle, internal hemorraging, and organ failure can occur if Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever is not detected quickly and a treatment plan started.
