Affenpinscher Breed Best in Show Westminster Dog Show

Congratulations to GCH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, who has earned the title of Best in Show in the 137th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. He is the first Affenpinscher to ever win Best in Show at Westminster. In honor of Banana Joe, this week I am featuring the adorable little Affenpinscher.

The Affenpinscher is not necessarily a popular dog breed. Many people have only heard of the breed because it's at the top of alphabetical breed lists. However, if you have ever known an Affenpinscher, you will not soon forget the breed. Like many small dog breeds, these little ones make up for their size with big personalities.

With their cute little monkey faces and their giant personalities, Affenpinschers are quite dynamic canines. However, this breed is definitely not for everyone - be prepared to encounter a stubborn side. If you ask me, though, I think it just adds to the breed's charm. Do you agree? Tell us about your Affenpinscher!
