My Greyhound is Bella–derived from her racing name, and my Cocker Spaniel is Sophie–named after a sweet Bichon Frise named Sophie. So I hit the top 10 jackpot I suppose!

We havea rescue a Lab/Golden mix and we call her Pepper since she is mostly black except for some gold in her tail. I rather she have a not so common name so this way she does not get confused when she hears her name. Whe she hears her name she looks directly at me.

Our Border Collie’s name is Tator, as in couch potato, which he’s not. Our 12 year old at that time spelled it that way to be different. I call him Spud or spudly a lot, my dad’s idea. He’s an awesome dog and 8 years old now.

When I was given Rikki….she was named Rickey….I immed chged it to Rikki…..seem to fit her….no mistaken the wild, black lab-pit for a female. I call her Rikki maybe 1 out of 10 times i address her….its mostly…Bubber or Bubbers or Rikita…..or Stinker….a rose by any name…yu know…she is all i care abt in the world…..well i do care a bit for 3 or 4 other people….and a lot more animals
