dogs in a row different dog sizes Choosing the right dog for you and your family can be a daunting task. As we come to the end of Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Month, some of you may have decided that you are ready for a dog. If so, congratulations! If not, then maybe someday. Whether the right time is now, next month or even in a few years, the decision can be tough. Should you get a giant dog or a tiny one? Wild child or couch potato? Purebred or mutt? Then, where do you go to find that special dog? Some of us are lucky enough to just know it in our guts when the right dog comes along. So, if you are ready to start looking for your new canine companion, here are some tips to help you choose the right dog. Also, check out the many answers on my forum from dog owners like you when one visitor asked for help choosing a dog. Sometimes, the right dog might just find you. I would love to hear the story of how you and your dog (or dogs) have found one another!
